Shape Homework

First of all we opened up illustrator and we used the pen tool to dramm a shape like a spade. We then filled it and sent it over to photoshop. Afterwards we added a colour on to the top left corner and scattered and distorted it. We then did this for 4 different corners to make a light effect. We kept on adding new layers to lighten the effect of this and to make it more interesting. After this we covered it in white to give a brighter effect and added in patches of dark to make it better. We then coloured over it in 8 different colours and covered the entire image. We deleted the remainder of the colour and left a bright effect to the image and added bits of dark to make it look better.

Homework Font 3: Indiana Jones Logo

This logo is of the brand called Indiana Jones. The font style is a sans serif looking style. The name of the font used is called SF Fedora and is a really interesting font as it is wrote in a slanted style.

The colours help this stand out really well as it blends from orange to yellow to white and it looks extremely bright and colourful. It is also extremely eye-catching and is very easily recognisable.

Most people will be able to tell what this represents very easily as it is an extremely well-known series and the font style is highly recognisable to many people.

Homework Font 2: Pixar Logo

This font is of the Disney Pixar Logo. The font is a serif style and has the unique aspect of having Luxo Jr, one of Pixars' first videos, in the place of the 'I'. The colouring scheme is pretty bland and only uses black on the lettering and a blue background. The logo was designed by Disney to represent the standalone films Pixar produces.

The font is also rather plain to look at, but is easily recognisable to people all over the world.

Homework font 1: Marvel Logo

The font that is used for the Marvel logo is similar to the font called Benton Sans Extra Comp Black and is a very bold font which stands out when it is imprinted on any Marvel licensed material. The font logo was created by two people called Cyrus Highsmith and Tobias Frere-Jones.
The font is a Sans-Serif font and features no gaps in the letters, as each one interlocks except the last two letters which are the 'E' and the 'L'. I like the simplicity of the font and the colours of it help it to stand out well. The use of its' basic colouring helps the overall effect of the image work extremely well, as it stands out and is eye-catching.

100/100

100/100 on Kern Type

Jokerman font

Jokerman is a font style which is used on most computers as an option in which to type with. The font is used for more humourous purposes as it is completely random for each letter and each letter is created in a crazy way. It is a sans serif type font and looks like it mostly used for sending crazy messages.
Jokerman looks better as a larger font as the letters all sqaush together when they're too small making it illegible and it doesn't look great.
The font designer isAndrew Smith and it was first conceived in 1995.
An example of the font being used is on this poster of a clown as it is regularly depicted with a humourous theme due to how crazy the font is.

Photoshop Steps

First of all we opened photoshop and selected a new page. We put the page to 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) as this was the best quality for the image. Next we saved a chosen image off the internet and opened it on photoshop. Then we used the lasso tool to cut around the image leaving just the picture we chose. After that we got an image of a background and put that onto photoshop, we resized it to fit the page and held down the 'shift' button to make sure the image still remained crisp and not stretched. Afterwards we copied our other chosen image (which was a celebrity) onto the background four times. We then made the image blend with the background using different photoshop techniques. Afterwards we did an image of our own personal choice so we could test out our new photoshop skills. My photoshop shut down before I could save the image so I can't put the image on here.
